As we head into 2025, I’ve got some highly anticipated books to read that are sitting in my 'To Read' pile! I'm committing to reading the following 12 books over the course of the year and I can't wait to get started. Obviously there will be many other books consumed along the way and I'm sure I'll be keeping you updated with my progress as I go. I wonder if any of these titles will make it onto my favourite book reads of 2025 list at the end of the year?! (Amazon Affiliate Links)
I love The Thursday Murder Club series and I can't wait to see if Osman captures the same magic in this new series. Also what are the chances that Joyce might make a cameo appearance?! 😅🤞🏻
This was a birthday present last year and I've listened to so many podcasts with Wiegman that I can't wait to delve into her book.
I've been waiting for this to come out in paperback (which it does on 2nd January). Looking forward to delving into this topical subject in Haidt's book.
There isn't a book Backman has written that I haven't enjoyed, I find his writing so clever, funny, and thoughtful. I cannot wait to read this one!
I've been doing a few re-reads recently of books that I last read when I was still at school. This one I read as part of my English Literature classes in secondary school and I now don't remember it at all so I'm interested to see what it's like reading it now (and without having to worry about writing essays about it!).
This book has been highly recommended from several people in my life and it sounds like the perfect read for me!
I really enjoy murder mystery stories, and the plot concept for this one sounds intriguing, I'm fairly sure this will be one of my early reads in 2025.
I was introduced to Albom in 2024 through a book club read - The Five People You Meet in Heaven which I struggled with on a number of levels. I didn't think I would be back to read anymore of his work but so many people have recommended this book to me that I thought I would give it a go.
I've read Lefteri's other novels and they were beautifully written. I'm hoping this one is equally as compelling, heartfelt, and impactful.
I watched The Circle on Netflix some time ago without realising it was based on a book, then I came across Eggers novel by chance while browsing in a book shop. I'm intrigued to read this.
This one has been sat on my Amazon Wish List for a while and I'm finally going to get a copy and can't wait to read it.
I love some of Haig's books including his self-help and children's fiction but I've struggled a bit with some of his adult fiction. There has been a lot of hype around this book so I'm interested to see what it's like.
